BRIGHTON law firm Coffin Mew has won a national award.

Its restructuring and insolvency team scooped Insolvency Law Firm of the Year (up to three partners).

This was at the Credit Strategy Turnaround, Restructuring and Insolvency Awards 2018.

Coffin Mew’s team provides legal assistance to businesses and individuals who fall into financial difficulty, saving them from ruin or securing the best possible outcomes for creditors.

Partner Alexander Wood said: “The past year has seen us work for the full range of stakeholders on a number of complex matters and transactions within the UK and internationally and across a number of sectors.

“We take great pride in being able to help our clients at what is always a challenging time, working alongside them to deliver the best possible results.

“I’m absolutely delighted to be part of a great team and for the support we provide our clients to be recognised with this high-profile award.”

Partner Ian Dawes said: “This year Coffin Mew was shortlisted as Law Firm of the Year at the Law Society Excellence awards, rose 25 places in The Lawyer UK 200 and performed excellently in the Legal 500.

“To be recognised specifically for our restructuring and insolvency expertise is testament to our team.”
