Brighton Palace Pier log ride breaks down leaving children stuck
A RIDE has been stopped in the air on the pier this afternoon.
The Wild River ride on Brighton Palace Pier was stopped at 4.15pm.
The attraction was stopped while the wooden logs were climbing to the peak of the ride.
A pier spokeswoman said the ride was stopped during the climb as someone panicked and wanted to get off.
Children, along with other passengers on the attraction, were left stuck in the air waiting for help following the stoppage.
Pictures from the scene show pier staff leading people back down from the stopped ride after the incident this afternoon.
