Hope Powell wants a goalscorer for her Albion team - and that could mean bringing in a new face.
Megan Connolly scored only their second Barclays FA WSL goal of the season during added time of their fourth match yesterday.
The Seagulls lost 3-1 at home to a West Ham side who had more composure in the final third.
Albion boss Powell said: “With all due respect to everybody, we need somebody who can stick the ball in the back of the net.
“You have got to create those chances but everybody wants a goalscorer, don’t they?
“We are looking at the players we have already got and obviously we are constantly looking to strengthen.
“But it isn’t that easy just saying ‘we want that player’, there is a whole negotiation around it.”
