Paul Edward Fuhrer went home to be with our Lord and Savior on July 30, 2020, in Olympia, Washington. Paul was born on Feb. 24, 1929, to Paul Edward Fuhrer Sr. and Alice Heyden Fuhrer in Salem, Oregon.

Paul married Bonnie Anglin on Sept. 10, 1948, in Salem. Paul worked in a local cannery and the Coke Company before moving to Aberdeen to work in the janitorial business. He started his own company called ABC Janitorial, cleaning windows and waxing floors for many of the local businesses in Aberdeen and Hoquiam from 1955 until 1995.

During his early years on the Harbor, Paul enjoyed fishing and bird hunting. He had a passion for watching sports and participated as a coach with various Little League and Babe Ruth teams in Aberdeen. After retirement, he and Bonnie hit the road in their fifth wheeler and traveled to various parts of the country where they saw many amazing sites and met some wonderful friends. Paul was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Hoquiam for many years, and also served on the Elder Board.

Paul is survived by his wife, Bonnie Fuhrer; sons, Gary (Sherri) and Brad (Maureen); daughter, Gwen (Ed Jones); seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Amy Marie Fuhrer and great-granddaughter Britton Ione Ishmael.

Paul will be buried with a family service in Salem. His ashes will be placed next to his biological mother at Belcrest Memorial Park.
