AURORA, Colo. — A new data center is under construction in Aurora on Gun Club Road near 6th Avenue.

According to city records, in 2015, JP Morgan Chase & Co. submitted a proposal to build a 250,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility expected to cost $100 million with $11 million in tax incentives.

The initial proposal includes a plan to hire 30 full-time employees with an average salary of $75,000 a year plus benefits.

Denver 7 first learned about construction on this property several weeks ago when viewers emailed the team asking about the construction.

At that time, city records revealed a company’s application to build a grocery store on a portion of the property.

Holder Construction, the contractor for the other portion of the land, said the property is currently under a non-disclosure agreement.

There is no word yet on when construction on the data center will be finished, but right now there several job listings posted on job boards for that location.
