DENVER — Temperatures will be extremely cold Sunday night and Monday. Snow will again pile up in the mountains and will also impact Denver and the eastern plains.
For the Denver area, snow has been falling and will continue through Monday morning. Snowfall totals reported so far:
- Genesee: 6 inches
- Evergreen: 5.5 inches
- Golden: 4 inches
- Wheat Ridge: 2 inches
- Denver: 1.5 inches
- Conifer: 1.2 inches
Overnight on Sunday, snow will be accompanied by colder temperatures for Denver and the northeast plains. Snow accumulations around Denver will be in the 1 to 3 inch range by early Monday, creating slick and slow conditions for the Monday morning commute. Some of the impact will be mitigated by the Monday holiday, lessening traffic.

Monday will be colder, with temperatures in the single digits and teens in the morning and just in the 20s in the afternoon
Tuesday will start out cold with some flurries, temperatures will be below zero in the mountains and in the single digits on the plains. Highs will only reach the 20s in the afternoon, with clearing for much of the state.
Temperatures will stay chilly for Wednesday and more snow is likely over much of Colorado by Thursday.
