Heads up, Henderson drivers: HPD announces safety, sobriety checkpoint locations

HENDERSON, Ky - The Henderson Police Department is going to be conducting traffic safety checkpoints this Friday and Saturday, and they are announcing the locations ahead of time.

The locations will be used to "check motorists for compliance with motor vehicle laws including driving under the influence," according to an HPD news release.

"Traffic safety checkpoints promote safety for motorists using the public roadways and provide a deterrent for those who violate Kentucky laws."

The HPD checkpoints will be conducted this Friday and Saturday, July 12-13, at:

• Walnut Lane and Sunset Lane
• Kentucky 2084 and Kentucky 136
• Kentucky 414 (Wolf Hills Road) at the City of Henderson Landfill/Transfer Station
• Watson Lane and Stonegate Drive
