Lehigh Valley 12, Gwinnett 6

Jose Tavares - 4 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 3 K, HR, 5 GB, 2 FB
Austin Listi - 2 for 4, R, 2B, 2 RBI, BB (fielding error)
Deivy Grullon - 1 for 4, R, RBI, 2 K
Nick Williams - 1 for 5, R, 2B, K
Jan Hernandez - 2 for 4, R, 2 K
Malquin Canelo - 1 for 2, R, BB

Jose Tavares has been a bit of a disaster since being promoted to AAA. He’s given up 14 runs on 18 hits in 15.2 innings with 6 walks. Thankfully the Iron Pigs offense came to play, scoring 12 runs on 14 hits. Austin Listi improved his AAA line to .349/.441/.709 with 8 HR in 86 AB. There is a decent chance he gets a shot as a bench/utility piece for the Phillies before the season is over.

Reading 4, Binghamton 1

Adonis Medina - 7 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 4 K, 8 GB, 8 FB
Mickey Moniak - 1 for 4, R, BB, SB
Alec Bohm - 1 for 5, RBI (fielding error)
Cornelius Randolph - 1 for 3, BB, 2 K
Josh Stephen - 1 for 4, 2B, RBI
Arquimedes Gamboa - 0 for 3, BB, 3 K

More of this Adonis Medina, please! This was his best start of a very uneven season (74 IP) where there have been too many walks (25) and not enough strikeouts (50) for the promising 22 year old righty. Hopefully he can continue building off this. The offense was pretty boring despite the 8 hits on the night. They were 1 for 8 with RISP, but did get solo homers from Luke Williams (6) and Austin Bossart (4). Mickey Moniak continues swinging a hot bat and is hitting .324 in his last 10 games.

Delmarva 4, Lakewood 2

Manuel Silva - 4 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 3 BB, 6 K, 2 WP, 2 GB, 3 FB
Ethan Lindow - 4 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 3 K, 3 GB, 4 FB
Rafael Marchan - 0 for 4, K
Luis Garcia - 0 for 4, K
Jonathan Guzman - 1 for 4, K
Abraham Gutierrez - 2 for 4, R, K
Carlos De La Cruz - 1 for 4, HR, 2 RBI, K
Cole Stobbe - 0 for 3, K
Ben Pelletier - 0 for 3, K
Yerwin Trejo - 0 for 3

Manuel Silva had not given up an earned run in his previous three starts (13 IP) and has been excellent since a rough May. He took his 3rd loss of the season and saw his ERA rise nearly half a run to 4.41. The offense didn’t do much behind him outside of the towering Carlos De La Cruz’s 3rd HR of the season. It honestly surprises me that Luis Garcia hasn’t been sent down to Williamsport given all his troubles at the plate this season (.193/.275/.278 with 86 Ks in 306 AB).

Aberdeen 4, Williamsport 3

Tom Sutera - 4 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 4 K, 6 GB, 1 FB
Carlos Francisco - 2 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 1 ER, BB, HBP
Corbin Williams - 1 for 4, K
Bryson Stott - 1 for 4, K
Logan Simmons - 0 for 3, K
Herbert Iser - 0 for 2, R, 2 BB, K
Logan O’Hoppe - 1 for 4, 2B, RBI, 2 K (fielding error)
Jake Holmes - 1 for 4, R, K
DJ Stewart - 1 for 3, R, BB, K (fielding error)
Tucker Maxwell - 0 for 4, 2 K
Hunter Markwardt - 1 for 3, 2 RBI

Well, the Crosscutters were in line for a victory entering the bottom of 9th up 3-1, but Alejandro Made imploded (along with a O’Hoppe error) to lose the game in a walk-off. O’Hoppe had the only extra base-hit in the game, his 4th double of the season. The talented catcher has a disappointing .178/.247/.356 in 73 AB to start the season. Bryson Stott has now hit safely in his first five pro games to start his career.
