Fumed over husband's addiction to alcohol, a woman chopped off his private part in LB Nagar. Though the incident took place on Saturday, it came to light on Wednesday after the victim lodged a complaint with the police.
The victim identified as Sher Singh (26), a native of Rajasthan moved to Hyderabad in search of livelihood 10 days ago along with his wife and two children. Singh began working at marble factory in LB Nagar.
On Saturday, when Singh returned home from office drunk, his wife picked up a quarrel over a petty issue. Fumed over husband's behaviour, she took a kitchen knife and chopped off his private part. Hearing his screams, the neighbours rushed to his home and shifted him to Osmania General Hospital after informing the police.
According to LB Nagar inspector V Ashok Reddy, the condition of the patient is stable. No arrests have been arrested yet.
