A 26-year-old man involved in several cases of murder and attempt to murder was arrested from north Delhi’s Maurice Nagar, the police said on Wednesday.

Parvinder Singh, carrying a reward of ₹25,000 was nabbed on Tuesday from near Delhi University’s Kirori Mal College area, where he came to meet his accomplice on a stolen bike, they said.

A pistol and cartridges were recovered from his possession, the police said.

During interrogation, Parvinder disclosed that in November 2018, he along with his accomplice attacked one Chanpreet, a resident of Hari Nagar, due to personal enmity, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell), Manishi Chandra said.

He was absconding since the incident and a case was registered against him, the officer said.

Later, Parvinder came in contact with his old friend Mani, also a resident of Harinagar. Mani used to supply illegal firearms to criminals in the city. Eventually, the two developed enmity as Parvinder suspected Mani of working as a police informer and felt that Mani would get him arrested, the officer added.

Hence, Parvinder along with his accomplice Kimat Singh shot him dead near Ashok Nagar on June 10, the officer said. Kimat was arrested in this case while Parvinder was absconding, the DCP said.
