Three injured as bus rams vehicles in east Delhi

Three persons sustained injuries after a cluster bus hit several other vehicles near Akshardham Temple in east Delhi’s Pandav Nagar, the police said on Wednesday.

DCP (East) Jasmeet Singh said that the injured have been identified as Akhilesh (21), Chandan (32) and Mohd Amir (41). They are currently out of danger. The police were informed around 4 p.m. regarding the accident on NH-24. The bus was coming from Sarai Kale Khan and going towards Akshardham flyover. It first hit an autorickshaw, which hit three four-wheelers. Another four-wheeler hit the bus from behind while a two-wheeler hit it from another side.

The injured persons were rushed to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital where they are undergoing treatment, the police said, adding that further investigation into the matter is under way.
