Navy conducts medical camps on Lakshadweep

A medical team from Naval hospital Sanjivani under the Southern Naval Command (SNC) conducted multi-speciality medical camps on four islands of the Lakshadweep archipelago between October 29 and November 1 as part of the outreach activities ahead of Navy Week 2018.

The camps were held at the Government Hospital, Minicoy; Primary Health Centre, Kalpeni; Community Health Centre, Androth; and Community Health Centre, Amini.

The team was led by Surgeon Captain A. Rajeev, paediatrician at Sanjivani, and included six other specialists in psychiatry, dermatology, ENT, orthopaedics, gynaecology and general medicine. Two nursing officers and twelve paramedical personnel were also part of the team.

Deputy Collector of the Union Territory Atul Pandey inaugurated the camp.
