Protest against assault on doctors in Kolkata

City doctors, under the aegis of the Indian Medical Association, Mangaluru, will hold a black badge protest against the attack of doctors at NRS Hospital in Kolkata.

In a release, president and secretary of IMA Mangaluru, B. Sachidanand Rai and Sudhindra Rao M. respectively, said the protest was in response to a nationwide protest call by the Kolkata branch of the Indian Medical Association.

Dr. Rai and Dr. Rao said the protest will not affect health services in the city. However, there will be minor inconvenience when during the protest meeting around noon at the IMA hall, they added.
