Farmers’ meet at AYUSH conclave today

A summit of farmers who grow medicinal plants and a start-up conclave will be held on Monday at the International AYUSH Conclave-Kerala (IAC-Kerala) which is under way at the Kanakakkunnu Palace grounds.

The farmer summit will begin at 9 a.m. at the Palace hall. Held under the aegis of the State Medicinal Plant Board (SMPB), it will cover scientific cultivation and conservation of the herbs, marketing and the potential role of local bodies in their cultivation.

It will be attended by 200 farmers who will share their experiences.

The start-up conclave will be held at the Institute of Engineers’ hall at Vellayambalam.

The conclave will introduce new entrepreneurs in the AYUSH sector and is aimed at providing them with technical assistance and guidance. The conclave will also discuss infrastructure development in this emerging sector. Kerala Start-up
