Woman teacher hacked to death in school near Cuddalore

In a shocking incident, a 23-year-old woman teacher was hacked to death inside a private matriculation school in Kurunjipadi by a man who had been stalking her for over a year.

The incident occurred when S. Ramya, the victim, arrived at the Gayathri Matriculation school around 8.30 a.m.

The accused, identified as K Rajasekar, 24 of Virudhagirikuppam is absconding. According to police, the accused had been harassing her for some time professing love. When she refused, he started stalking her.

The accused who knew about her schedule entered the classroom and attacked Ramya on the neck with a long knife. He fled the scene immediately after committing the crime on a two-wheeler. The victim died on the spot.

It was a sanitary worker in the school who first saw the victim lying in a pool of blood and alerted the school’s correspondent V. Rangarajan.

On information, police rushed to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem to the Kurunjipadi Government Hospital.

Kurunjipadi Police are investigating the case.
