The ‘Orange Army’ of Sunrisers Hyderabad is all set for a strong performance in the Season XII of Indian Premier League.

Bolstered by new additions including Martin Guptill from New Zealand, Jonny Bairstow from England, Vijay Shankar, Abhiskek Sharma and Shahbaz Khan and with the return of the swashbuckling left hander David Warner of Australia, the team — which won the league in 2016 and was runner up last year — is all geared up to repeat its strong performance.

“Formed in 2013, Sunrisers Hyderabad has been amongst most consistent performers in the IPL and with a line up that includes Kane Williamson of New Zealand, Bhuvanesh Kumar, Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan, Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh and Rashid Khan of Afghanistan, we are looking forward to another title,” VVS Laxman, Team Mentor, and Tom Moody, Team Coach, said here.

Introducing the new players and handing over their respective jerseys, the SRH team exuded confidence of performing well with a strong line up to back them.

The ‘Orange Army’, which has gained popularity over the last few outings it has made with its players, is set to take on Kolkata Knight Riders at Kolkata on March 24.

Laxman, for whom the Kolkata was a happy hunting ground said that the IPL has become a fertile ground to spot good talent who can latter be inducted to the national team. “Like in the past, we expect more players to make it to the national team,” he said.

Moody said one thing that all the IPL teams have in common is the prospect of losing some of the players during the course of the IPL season as they have to get back to represent their respective teams in the World Cup. “Our success all through had been due to no superstar culture. Youth add to the team spirit,” Muthiah Muralitharan, Bowling Coach, said.
