MP Police gets FICCI Smart Policing Awards-2019 in New Delhi

Madhya Pradesh Police has been awarded with national-level ‘FICCI Smart Policing Awards-2019’ in New Delhi on Friday. These awards have been hande dover by Union Minister Jitendra Singh in four categories to Madhya Pradesh Police at FICCI auditorium, Tansen Road, in New Delhi.
 
Police officials, including Additional Director General of Police (Crime Against Women Cell), Anvesh Mangalam, ADG (Telecommunication) Upendra Jain, Inspector General of Police (Crime Research) D Shrinivas Verma and SP, Headquarters, Indore, Suraj Kumar Verma were given these awards.
 
These awards have been given for State Government’s efforts for police advancement and team work of Madhya Pradesh Police in the field of smart policing and successful innovations.
 
Categories including ‘Commendable work in controlling crime against women and children’, identified crime Yojana of Madhya Pradesh, Safe City Monitoring Response Centre (SCMRC), vehicle detection portal at Bhopal for 60 cities, a system for making traffic system better in Indore, etc.
 
A jury of professional police and stalwarts of corporate section led by former Home Secretary of India, G K Pillai took decision about the awards. Notably, Madhya Pradesh is the first State where police have installed CCTV cameras in 60 cities and this system is being used on a large scale to check crime, identifying crimes, criminal identification and maintaining peace among public.
