INDIANAPOLIS — A dead body found inside of an apartment complex on the north side of Indianapolis Sunday has been ruled a homicide investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

IMPD officers were called to "The Enclave Building" on North Merdian Street Sunday around 10:45 p.m. "to check on a possible DOA." When officers arrived at the apartment, they located a dead man with apparent trauma.

On Monday, IMPD ruled the man's death as a homicide investigation.

The victim's identity was not initially made available, upon further inspection of the Marion County Coroner's Office.
