CANTON — Bobby Wayne Jackson, 84, passed away on August 1, 2020, at Silver Bluff Nursing Home.
A native of Gaston County, he was the son of the late Wayne and Mildred Jerome Hargett Jackson. Bobby was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of First United Methodist Church of Waynesville.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sue Kelley Jackson; two sons, Bobby Wayne Jackson, Jr., of Asheville and Charles Edward Jackson (Mary) of Hendersonville, Tennessee; and three grandchildren.
The family would like to express much gratitude for the loving care that Bobby received from all the staff at Silver Bluff.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Silver Bluff Nursing ECAP (Employee Crisis Assistance Program), 100 Silver Bluff Drive, Canton, NC 28716.
The care of Mr. Jackson has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes and an online memorial register is available at “Obituaries” at www.wellsfuneralhome.com.
