City to close intersection of Oregon and 20th streets for construction beginning July 29

OSHKOSH - The city is shutting down the intersection at Oregon and 20th streets beginning Monday, July 29, for construction. 

The intersection will be shut down for about 10 weeks, according to a statement from the city. The Oshkosh Common Council approved the measure in March. 

Here are the detour routes for drivers: 

  • If drivers are traveling north on Oregon Street they can take West 24th Avenue to South Main Street to West 9th Avenue to Oregon Street.
  • If drivers are traveling south, they can take West 9th Avenue to South Main Street to West 24th Avenue to Oregon Street.
  • If people are driving east on 20th Street, they can take West South Park Avenue to Ohio Street to West 9th Avenue to Oregon Street.
