A CHARITY ball, held in Wigtownshire, has raised more than £11,000 for RSABI

Hosted at the Green Valley Golf Academy in Castle Kennedy, on Saturday, May 6, 155 guests were welcomed by music from the Wee Duff Orchestra,

Guests were then entertained by speaker, Robbie Duncan, from RSABI business supporter, Quest Farm Supplies, while Brian Vance, from Craig Wilson Ltd, a corporate supporter of RSABI, handled the auction.

RSABI south west development officer, Jill Sloan, said of the event: “Obviously we are delighted with the amount of money the RSABI charity ball managed to raise, and we hope everyone who attended had a wonderful evening.

"It was fantastic to see how well supported the event was by the rural community in Wigtownshire, and we’re grateful to everyone who supported in whatever way they could.”

“Hopefully we’ll be able to hold more events like the charity ball across Dumfries and Galloway in the future, and we know that the money raised by events such as the Wigtownshire fundraiser will go to help many people in need across the agricultural community.”
