Alistair Brown from Darvel won the Wigtownshire open ploughing match last weekend at Little Lochans, near Stranraer.
Forty ploughmen from all over Scotland, England and Ireland competed against one another in five different classes at the venue, which came courtesy of the Kirkpatrick family, and Hugh Kirkpatrick presented the prizes.
Runner-up for the top award was G Black.
