THIS is the hilarious moment a dog "throws a tantrum" after his Glasgow owner refuses to let him eat cheesecake.

Cheeky pup Max, lounging on owner Lauren Connor's bed, whimpers and barks  after she tells him he can't have any of the sugary treat.

During the 30-second clip he scratches at the bedding, whines and covers hides his face in a huff.

Chancing his luck, he then licks his lips and slowly creeps closer to the cheesecake slice - before he is firmly told "no".

Sharing the 30-second clip on Twitter, Lauren said: "Max is actual throwing a tantrum cos he's not allowed some cheesecake."

She later admitted she gave in and let him have "a bit of the biscuit".

The video has already been viewed more than 500,000 times since it was posted on Tuesday night.

And social media users can't get enough of the adorable pup's antics.

One said: "Literally me in dog form."

Another added: "I've never understood Max more."

Meanwhile, a third pleaded: "Give him the bloody cheesecake."

We told earlier how an adorable Glasgow dog was filmed repeatedly trying to hold hands with his newest family member, a five-month-old baby.

It comes after a lazy dog was caught fast asleep in his owner's bed - and refused to wake up.

Malcolm the Beagle was enjoying a snooze under the covers at his Cumbernauld home.

Despite being offered countless bribes, the sleepy pooch doesn't even stir when owner Francis Brennan is talking to him.
