We previously told how the parents were forced to offer a bumper salary after five terrified nannies quit in a year due to ghostly goings-on at the remote property.

The employees reported mysterious noises, furniture moving and glass smashing at the historic house.

But it has now emerged the family have now found a replacement after working their way through almost 200 applications.

Jobfinders Childcare.co.uk said: “They had to sift through absolutely loads of applications, which is brilliant, and they were able to find a suitable candidate who started last Monday.

“All is going well so far. The response they had was overwhelming.

“The family said the majority of candidates weren’t bothered by supernatural reports.”

The unnamed mum and dad stumped up double the £24,000 average wage to attract a new live-in babysitter for their kids aged five and seven.

The role includes spending up to four nights a week alone at the eerie home.
