Scots footie fan hacks Croatian World Cup star Dejan Lovren’s social media and messages Emre Can and Adam Lallana

Reds supporter Peter Doswell, of Selkirk, Roxburghshire, was caught after Liverpool F.C told cops about the texts

CROATIAN World Cup star Dejan Lovren had his social media accounts hacked by a Scots fan.

Peter Doswell, 22, had over 150 of the Liverpool defender’s family photos on his computer, as well as a snap of his ID card and a letter which had financial details and his address on it.

He also sent text messages to Lovren’s teammates Emre Can and Adam Lallana after finding their phone numbers.

England midfielder Lallana received Whats App messages asking if he played for Liverpool.

German defender Can had five missed calls from Doswell's mobile phone number.

After being sent a snap of Liverpool players poker and a picture of Lovren's ID card, Can told boss Jurgen Klopp his teammates Facebook had been hacked.

Reds supporter Doswell, of Selkirk, Roxburghshire, was caught after the club told cops about the texts.

Defence lawyer Mark Harrower told the town’s sheriff court Doswell was not an “experienced hacker” and had been “led down the garden path by others”.

His laptop was found to have details of phishing and software used to hack into email accounts.

Mr Harrower admitted Doswell was guilty of a "huge intrusion".

He said: "It is a serious matter, I accept that.

"But it was not particularly sophisticated what he has done and seems to have been led down the garden path by others but is here to face the music."

Doswell pled guilty to hacking at his rented home in Selkirk in April last year.

He was given 225 hours’ unpaid work and a 27-month supervision order with restrictions on using the internet.

Lovren has played in all four of Croatia's World Cup matches in Russia and is due to line-up against the host nation in the quarter finals this Saturday.
