Kelso house of horror where builder shot his partner and then himself up for sale as ‘family home’ just five months after the double death
Kevin Armstrong, 53, shot Pauline Cockburn, 48, before turning the gun on himself
A HOUSE of horror where a builder murdered his partner and then killed himself is up for sale as a “family home” in Heiton.
Kevin Armstrong, 53, shot Pauline Cockburn, 48, before turning the gun on himself.
But just five months later the double death property was put on the market priced at £100,000.
Estate agents claimed Armstrong’s two-bedroom terraced house in “a quiet cul-de-sac” in Heiton, near Kelso, Roxburghshire, was ideal for first-time buyers.
A sales blurb said: “The accommodation is well presented, and would be perfectly suited to those searching for an easily managed starter home.”
It gushes about “spectacular views to the rear” and the house’s “private setting”.
Pauline and dad-of-five Armstrong were discovered dead in the pad on Boxing Day last year.
Insiders claim “a number of shells” were also found.
In the days after the deaths, Pauline’s son Paul Gresham said he hoped Armstrong would “rot in hell”.

Cops later said Pauline was murdered and Armstrong’s death was “not suspicious”.
Timber merchant boss Armstrong, who had no convictions, left assets worth £47,000.
His son Sean Robson, 27, is executor of his will.
