SCOTRAIL have released video of overhead wires sparking as violent waves lash a train on an Ayrshire line.
The rail company have been forced to alter services in the area as a result of the severe weather.
And to display just how badly they are being affected by Storm Diana they shared the clips on their Twitter page.
The line runs along next to the sea in Saltcoats and the footage shows waves battering the coast.
They smash off the immediate wall before splashing up and over a taller wall which stands over the tracks.
A vehicle comes flying past and when the water lashes up to hit the wires, large electric sparks can be seen shooting out.
Traffic Scotland have also announced that deep water on the M8 at Charing Cross in Glasgow is causing chaos on the road.
We told earlier how Scotland is set to be battered by howling winds and rain into the early hours of tomorrow.
The Met Office updated their yellow warning for severe weather across the country.
They had earlier issued a 'danger to life' warning.
