ABERDEENSHIRE Council are offering guidance support to grief-stricken classmates of missing teen Liam Smith.
The hunt for the 16-year-old has entered its third week after he vanished on November 17.
And now the local authority are offering one-to-one support to Westhill Academy pupils struggling to cope with Liam's disappearance.
A spokesperson for Aberdeenshire Council said: "We are continuing to support pupils and staff at Westhill Academy through a difficult time as the search for Liam continues.
"Guidance support is available to any young person who may wish to access one-on-one advice.
“We would encourage anyone with information to contact the police on 101 and will continue to support inquiries in any way we can.”
Liam was last spotted on CCTV at Aberdeen's Union Square just before he boarded the 202 Stagecoach bus at 1.15pm towards Banchory.
Police released the footage last month in the hope it would help with their search.
And cops told on Saturday that a "credible sighting" in Crathes has given fresh hope of finding the 6ft 4in 16-year-old.
Officers revealed poor weather conditions have hampered the hunt over the past few days.
But after a member of the public reported seeing a person who matched Liam's description in the Crathes Estate area, police have gained further information to lead their hunt.
Chief Inspector Martin Mackay said: "Over the past two weeks we have had assistance from every available resource at Police Scotland's disposal including the search helicopter, dog unit, dive unit and specialist police search advisers (Polsa)."
Police have ruled out more than 139 sightings of the missing teen.
And officers have been carrying out extensive searches for the youngster including combing the River Dee and drafting in Mountain Rescue Teams and sniffer dogs to aid the hunt.
