A SHATTERED mum has told how she fled with her kids from “psycho” sex fiend William McArthur amid fears that he’d kill her.
The victim, 29, revealed her terror tonight after the monster was convicted of a catalogue of attacks, including a bid to murder a girl of four.
He was found guilty of raping the woman and attacking her daughter, then aged six, in Dumfriesshire.
McArthur, 35, of Armadale, West Lothian also sexually assaulted another woman and raped a 14-year-old schoolgirl in a four-year reign of abuse.

The traumatised mother said: “The moment I realised he’d attacked my child I grabbed what I could and fled.
“I knew if I didn’t get out the house he’d kill me — he’s a psycho.
“He is obsessed with violence. I’m glad this nightmare is over and I hope he dies a long, painful, slow death.” The parent believes McArthur’s extreme violence against females and children could be due to him being infertile.
And she told how the vicious nut loved paintball, as a photo emerged of him in camouflage clutching a pistol from the combat game.
She said: “I think he hates kids, and women who have them because he can’t have them himself. A close relative told me he can’t have kids.
“He loves paintball because it’s the closest thing he can get to shooting someone.”
The mum and her daughter, now 11, gave evidence against McArthur during his trial at the High Court in Edinburgh.
She said the four months she spent with the brute in 2014 even took a toll on her boy, then just one.
The woman said: “When I first got with William my son’s hair started falling out. The doctor told me it was stress, he’d terrified him that much.
"I’ve now been diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder. It’s a shame he’s in the sex offender wing. He should be in the regular jail and get ripped apart.”

THE cop who led the probe into McArthur revealed he trawled dating site Badoo for single mums to satisfy his lust for sexual violence against women and kids.
Detective Chief Inspector Nigel Thacker said the vile fiend targeted vulnerable women online and offered to babysit despite not having met them.
McArthur, 35, was even grooming potential victims while being investigated for nearly murdering a four-year-old girl.
DCI Thacker said: “We identified four other victims he was targeting.
“He specifically went after vulnerable women with children. Even though he was under investigation, he carried on trying to get more victims. He’s a depraved individual.
“There could be more victims and I hope they now feel confident enough to come forward.”
McArthur was convicted of nine offences from 2014 to this year.
The attempted murder charge stated he assaulted the four-year-old girl several times between October last year and this January.
He seized hold of her, struck her with an object and inflicted blunt-force trauma to her head and body.
The brute also sexually assaulted the child at a house in Grangemouth, Stirlingshire, and at his own home in Armadale.

McArthur raped the teenage girl and carried out a sex attack on a woman of 40 in Grangemouth in November and December last year.
Judge Lord Uist told him: “You are a serious danger to women and children.” He deferred sentencing the thug, who was remanded.
McArthur was caged for domestic abuse in 2015. Prosecutors will seek a lifelong restriction order — meaning he could die behind bars.
