Schoolgirl, 13, arrested over alleged knife attack on teenage lad at Dumfriesshire school following cop probe

A SCHOOLGIRL, 13, has been arrested in connection with an alleged knife assault on a teen boy at a school Dumfriesshire.
Cops responded to reports the lad, 14, had been injured at 10am today.
The pupil suffered an injury after the alleged attack but did not require hospital treatment.
Now police have confirmed a 13-year-old girl has been arrested.
A knife was also recovered.
A spokesperson for the force said: "A 13-year-old female pupil has been arrested following the report of an assault on a 13-year-old male pupil today.

"A knife was recovered during the incident and the boy was treated for a superficial injury following the assault."
We told earlier how a nursery pupil was found wandering the street by a member of the public in Glasgow.
The four-year-old boy was discovered on a road outside the nursery while he was supposed to be in the care of Budhill Family Learning Centre, in the city’s east end.
And staff have apologised, while warning parents to be vigilant.

It’s understood the incident took place on Monday morning when the main door, which is usually locked, was left open by a parent who had been dropping off their own child.
A member of the public spotted the boy and realised he was alone before bringing him back to the centre a short time later.
