Glasgow women ‘targeted by stranger’ who ‘followed and harassed’ them in city centre as they issue stark warning to others

More young women came forward online saying they'd had a similar experience

A HOST of women claim they've been "followed and harassed" by the same stranger in the city centre.

Twitter user @_nicroyx took to social media yesterday to issue a stark warning to others after the alleged incident.

And other young women have now responded to her post, claiming similar happened to them.

Nicola said that she had been followed on Sauchiehall Street for "five to ten minutes".

And she worried that he "wouldn't go away".

Nicola said: "Girls (and guys) pls be extra vigilant on Sauchiehall st today.

"A man of about 25 with dark hair followed me for 5-10 minutes repeatedly asking if I wanted to go out w him, even tho I said I had a bf, and followed me into a shop when I tried to get away

"and asking for details of where I’d been/where I was going later that day.

"He was very intrusive n I actual didn’t think he’d go away."

Nicola claimed that almost 25 girls messaged her saying they had also come across the stranger.

The warning was shared and liked over 1,200 times on Twitter yesterday afternoon.

She said: "Right so I’ve had about 25 girls message me/reply to this with their own encounters of this guy, I have no idea how to go about reporting him or what to say .. someone help lol :)))"

One said: "Sounds like the same guy I had problems with yesterday but it was on buchanan st!

"Luckily he didn't follow me into the store I ducked into to escape"

While another claimed she took refuge in a boozer.

She said: "Sounds like the same guy he was shouting after me and following me for a good ten minutes wanting to know where I was going n stuff I dived into sleazys and told the bar staff."

Police Scotland has been approached by the Scottish Sun for comment.

We told you last month how a man was arrested and charged in connection with a police probe into a Glasgow pickup YouTube channel.

The DWLF Game page, said to feature Adnan Ahmed in its videos, has clips titled "How to get girls to have threesomes with you" and "How to f*** girls with boyfriends".

Police had launched an investigation over clips online offering advice and guidance on how to ‘pick up’ the opposite sex.

And detectives said that a 37-year-old was arrested and charged.
