Armed cops swoop on Midlothian village amid police incident

ARMED cops swooped on a Midlothian village tonight as part of a police incident.

Locals reported seeing at least ten armed officers alongside police dogs in Hunterfield Terrace, Gorebridge, at around 8.30pm tonight.

Posting on social media, Angela Scally said: "Not exactly what I expected to see when closing the curtains. Nae need to watch tv drama when you stay in sunny Gorebridge."

Another added: "Why's there armed police in Gorebridge though?"
