Glasgow men’s 10k road closures – what streets are shut on Sunday June 16, when are they closed from and when do they reopen?

JOGGERS are looking out their running shoes today as they prepare to take over the streets of Glasgow for the Men's 10k.

As they pound the pavements and roads, that will mean many areas are closed off to the public.

Glasgow may soon have more parking zones across city to help crack down on commuter congestion


When are roads closed in Glasgow city centre for the Men's 10k on Sunday June 16?

Roads around Glasgow will be closed to drivers between 6am and 2pm on Sunday.

They will also have no waiting, no loading and no unloading from 3pm on Saturday until 2pm on Sunday.

  2. Argyle Street, between Hope Street and Queen Street
  3. Albion Street, between Trongate and Access to Multi-storey Car Park
  4. Arcadia Street, for its entire length
  5. Bridgegate, between Kings Street and Saltmarket
  6. Broomielaw (Westbound), between Glasgow Bridge and Brown Street
  7. Buchanan Street, between Argyle Street and St Vincent Place
  8. Candleriggs, for its entire length
  9. Castlebank Street, between Hayburn Street and Pointhouse Place
  10. Cochrane Street, for its entire length
  11. Congress Way, for its entire length

The following bus lanes will be suspended 6am and 2pm on Sunday June 16.

  2. Glassford Street, between Trongate and Ingram Street
  3. Victoria Bridge, between Clyde Street and Ballater Street
  4. West George Street, between West Nile Street and Nelson Mandela Place
  5. Bridgeton Cross, between London Road and James Street (both ways)

  7. Kingston Street, between West Street and Tradeston Street

Which streets will have their one way system revoked during the Men's 10k?

The following one way streets will be revoked between 6am and 2pm on Sunday June 16
