Man arrested after cops raid Knightswood flats in early morning pre-planned operation

A MAN has been arrested after an early morning pre-planned cop raid on flats in Glasgow.

Officers were on the scene in the Knightswood area of the city around 5am this morning.

Police confirmed that there was no threat to the public.

And that a man, 46, had been nicked.


Arrest made after cops chase motorbike through streets of Edinburgh


Detectives were working as part of a pre-planned operation relating to their ongoing enquiries.

Worried eyewitnesses took to social media after spotting the police presence in the area.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Around 5am this morning, a pre-planned police operation in relation to ongoing enquiries was carried out at an address in Knightswood, Glasgow.

"A 46-year-old man was arrested and our enquiries are ongoing."

 

We told you yesterday how a man died after lurching into the street to plead for help, shocked onlookers have revealed.

Horrified residents told how the man screamed, “I’ve been stabbed” before he stumbled across the street and collapsed in a neighbour’s garden.

They desperately tried to stem the flow from his wounds before paramedics arrived at the scene in Knightswood.
