Missing Merseyside teen Leon Lowe, 16, believed to be in Inverness after vanishing from his home in April

POLICE have launched a fresh appeal for a missing Merseyside teen they belive has travelled to Inverness.

Leon Lowe, 16, vanished from his home more than 11 weeks ago.

And the teen hasn't been in contact or sighted since his disappearance on April 3.

Leon is understood to have links to Scotland and cops now believe he has made the near 400-mile trip from his hometown of Wallasey to the Highlands.

He is described at 5ft 6in tall with a slim build and long, fair, curly hair.

He was last known to be wearing a grey Superdry jacket, blue tracksuit trousers and blue Adidas trainers.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 101, quoting reference 1295 of June 19.
