Van left on its side after horror crash in Glasgow city centre as emergency services swoop on scene

A VAN was left on its side after a horror smash in the centre of Glasgow.

Emergency services were scrambled to the scene after the alarm was raised around 7.49am this morning.

A white van could be seen lying on its side as a result of the incident in a busy part of the city centre.

It's not clear if there have been any injuries.

SFRS teams confirmed they were in attendance.

A spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a one-vehicle crash on Bath Street, Glasgow around 7.49am this morning.

"We remain at the scene."

Police and ambulance crews were also spotted by witnesses.

One local said: "Bad accident on bath street van on its side hope it's no one is seriously injured, police fire brigade and paramedics on scene".

Emergency services were blocking the junction between Bath Street and Hope Street first thing.
