Man attacked with ‘machete’ in broad daylight Glasgow attack leaving him with serious injuries

A MAN was brutally attacked with a 'machete' in Glasgow yesterday, leaving him in hospital with serious injuries.

The shocking broad daylight attack happened on Baldwin Avenue, in the Knightswood area, at around 3.30pm.

He was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and his condition is described as serious but stable.

Locals reported seeing the man's car "smashed up" by the attacker.

The Scottish Sun understands the attack is believed to have been targeted.

It's also believed cops are following a positive line of enquiry.

A spokeswoman for the force confirmed they were probing the incident.

She said: "At around 3.30pm on Saturday August 17 a man was attacked and seriously injured with a bladed weapon in Baldwin Avenue.

"The man's car was also vandalised.

"He was taken by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where his condition is described by medics as serious but stable."

"Enquiries are continuing."
