Slipknot promise to come back to Glasgow for another 20 years after ferocious We Are Not Your Kind gig

SLIPKNOT have been coming to Glasgow for over two decades - and they promised to come back for another 20 years at their packed-out show in the city tonight.

The American metal legends played a ferocious set at the SSE Hydro on the latest leg of their We Are Not Your Kind tour.

And they showed why they’re one of the world’s biggest bands as they performed career-defining hits.

The crowd showed they weren’t adverse to new material either as the circle pits formed while Slipknot kicked off with Unsainted - a track from their latest album.

But it wasn’t long before they got into their most famous songs, with some great performances of Before I Forget, Psychosocial and Wait and Bleed.

And it wasn’t just the music that was brilliant as their incredible light show dazzled the arena.

Bassist Alessandro Venturella even blasted flames across the stage from a flamethrower attached to his instrument.

And the crowd especially loved the ending to the main part of the set as lead singer Corey Taylor sang the opening lines of Duality.

The band will return to the UK later this year to headline Knotfest at The National Bowl in Milton Keynes on August 22.

And Scottish fans won’t have to miss out on their performance thanks to Big Green Coach offering trips to the show from Glasgow.

Tickets for Knotfest are now on sale and seats on the buses can be purchased on Big Green Coach’s website.
