Driver, 29, rushed to hospital after crash on M8 in Glasgow with motorway ‘to be closed for some time’
A MAN has been rushed to hospital following a crash on the M8 in Glasgow.
Emergency services raced to junction 12, Cumbernauld Road, shortly after 6.30am.
Cops locked down the eastbound carriageway with the Trunk Road Incident Support Service also on the scene.
An ambulance crew rushed the 29-year-old driver to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

The motorway remains shut, with officers still on the scene.
A diversion is currently in place, taking drivers off the M8 at the crash site.
Traffic Scotland report that traffic is currently backed up around 30 minutes to junction 14, Dennistoun.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland: "Around 6.35am, we were called to a report of a crash on the M8 near Junction 12, eastbound, involving a car.
