Partner of missing Ross Taylor makes heartbreaking plea for Midlothian dad’s return as she holds their six-month-old baby boy

THE partner of a missing Midlothian dad made a heartbreaking plea for his safe return as she held their six-month-old baby boy.

Ross Taylor, 30, vanished from his home in Dalkeith, near Edinburgh, on Sunday afternoon.

Concerns are growing as his family haven’t heard from the dad-of-three since he left their home in the Mayfield area.

His partner Laura D’Arcy, 30, wept as she made the emotional appeal for him to come home, describing Ross as a “loving father”.

She said: “Ross left our home on Sunday at noon and we’ve not seen or heard from him since.

“He’s a loving father to his family and our three children. Ross only goes to work and comes straight home and cares for the children so this is completely out of character for him.

“Ross, if you see this or hear this, we love you and we miss you so much and we need you back to me safe. If you hear this please come back to us. You know how much Lewis needs you.

“I’d like to ask the public as well, if you’ve seen Ross or heard anything then please contact police on 101. Any small piece of information may hold the key to finding him and bringing him home safely.”

Ross is described a white, 5ft 9ins tall, of skinny build, with short light brown hair.

He was last seen wearing grey jeans, a black jumper and white Converse trainers.

Sergeant Alan King from Dalkeith Police Station said: “As part of our enquiries we’re asking anyone who may have seen Ross since this time, or who has possible information on his whereabouts, to contact us.

“If Ross see’s this appeal we’d urge him to get in touch with either us or his family, who are very worried about him, as soon as possible and let us know he is ok.”

Those with information can call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2570 of 31st March 2019.
