Rangers ace Glenn Middleton admits Norwich City rejection is fuelling him to succeed at Ibrox

GLENN MIDDLETON has admitted being rejected by Norwich is driving him to succeed at Rangers.
The teenager was deemed surplus to requirements when a new regime took over at Carrow Road last season.
Middleton was devastated at the time, but looking back he feels the experience has helped strengthen his resolve.
Rangers picked him up in January and the 18-year-old has never looked back.
The winger has already featured eight times this term and bagged his first-ever goal for Rangers in the 4-0 win over Dundee last weekend.
He said: “I’m enjoying what I’m involved in right now. It’s gone well so far for me and I hope it continues.
“So far this move has been a dream come true.
“I think when something like that happens it would drive anyone on. It’s now about proving to the coaches, the fans and myself what I’m capable of doing.
“That’s football for you. You can get the highs of Thursday night and then there are the lows as well.
“But I wouldn’t have it any other way. Everything is not always going to be perfect.”
Middleton, who was promoting Sunday's Armed Forces Day at Ibrox with boss Steven Gerrard, is in line for his first start of the season following his impressive cameo against Villarreal.
And while the kid might be short on experience, he certainly doesn’t lack confidence.
He said: “You have to back yourself. If you don’t then it’s pointless turning up. You have to show you are capable of competing with the big boys at the club.
“That’s the kind of player I am. If I’m not going to get on and be positive and show what I can do then it’s pointless putting me on.
