And he admits it was great having the chance to meet some first team players, including former Celtic star Joe Miller.

However, some of the senior players would play pranks on the youngsters.

And Compston told the hilarious story of how ex-Dons ace Windass left them terrified after taking the handbrake off in their bus.

Speaking to Si Ferry on Open Goal, the actor said: "We'd go out and we had our minibus, and the first team had their bus.

"We were warned: 'Nobody mess with the motor, if you mess with the motor then you're going home. You're out the club'.

"So we're all sitting on the bus and Dean Windass came down one day, and he's like, 'alright boys?', and turned the handbrake off!

"It's going down a hill but we're all like, we can't touch the motor, so we're all s******* ourselves rolling down this hill!

"We're rolling towards this car so I jumped out to (grab the handbrake)!.

"They were brilliant there as well though, Joe Miller gave me his boots. Still got them to this day."

Meanwhile, Compston also told Si Ferry how he once missed a training session with Jose Mourinho ahead of Soccer Aid in 2014.

He ended up on a wild night out with Greg McHugh, Paolo Nutini and Prince, and didn't return to his hotel until hours before training.
