James Lawrence a ‘£3m transfer target for Rangers’ as Steven Gerrard eyes Anderlecht stopper
RANGERS are eyeing a £3million move for Wales international James Lawrence, according to reports.
The Daily Record report that the Anderlecht defender is wanted by Gers boss Steven Gerrard.
Lawrence grew up in Holland and spent time at Ajax, Sparta Rotterdam and RKC.
Following his stint in the Netherlands, the Welshman moved to Slovakian side AS Trencin, where two league and cup doubles led to his move to Anderlecht.
Lawrence made 27 appearances for the Belgian side last season.
The 26-year-old is also receiving attention from Championship sides Stoke and Swansea.

Lawrence's future at Anderlecht is currently unknown with the arrival of Man City legend Vincent Kompany as boss.
On the international scene Lawrence has five caps for Ryan Giggs' Wales.
He started both of their Euro 2020 qualifiers last week against Croatia and Hungary.

But Gerrard is yet to give up hope on the signature of the 21-year-old.
