Foo Fighters to headline Glasgow Summer Sessions 2019 night after The Cure at Bellahouston Park

GLASGOW Summer Sessions have announced the Foo Fighters as their second headliner for 2019 - joining the Cure at Bellahouston Park.

The US rockers will take to the Summer Sessions stage for the first time ever on August 17.

Dave Grohl and bandmates will belt out classics like The Pretender, Walk and Everlong as well as new tunes The Sky is a Neighbourhood and Run.

The eleven-time Grammy winners will be the main event for Saturday night with the Cure performing as headline act the previous evening.

The latter will have waited a whopping 27 years to return to Scottish soil - to the delight of punters across the country.

Now in it's seventh year, Glasgow Summer Sessions has previously welcomed music talents like Calvin Harris, Paolo Nutini and Biffy Clyro.

Previous headliners include Rap God Eminem, Kings of Leon and Kendrick Lamar.

"This announcement, as well as the previous reveal that legendary band The Cure will make their return to Scottish soil after 27 years on Friday 16th August, truly cements Glasgow Summer Sessions as an integral part of the Scottish live music calendar for 2019.

Tickets go on sale from 9am on Friday, November 23, and prices vary frpm £59.50 to upwards of £95.
