Drinks in hand, the ITV alumni looked dapper as they enjoyed the festivities at the iconic Elstree studios.

Ex-Islander Michael Griffiths commented that the two were part of the show’s legendary, “It is what it is family.”

Edinburgh born comedian Iain captioned his picture with a Scotland flag and the hashtag Love Island.

Airdrie boy Anton responded with more saltires and a friendly, “my guy,” before re-posting the image on his own account.

Despite only meeting at the weekend, the two Scots were both stars of the summer's most popular TV show.

Anton made a splash in the villa, where Stirling cracked jokes from the voice over booth.

Scottish fans were quick to celebrate the double act’s long anticipated first meeting.

One Instagram user wrote: “The Scottish are the best."

And another, “This is the cutest thing."

And, “Awe #bromance.”
