It is believed three men in a van tried to approach a group of students on Wednesday, later attempting to grab the hand of a Year 11 student.

The same individuals and van are believed to be involved in both incidents, Chronicle Live reported.

In a message to parents, the school said: "Our pupils were very sensible, refused to get into the van, and came straight to school and reported the incident to staff this morning."

Police reassured parents they would be investigating the incident.
