Man, 23, charged with making hoax bomb threats to schools across England, Parliament and the Super Bowl

A MAN has been charged after allegedly making threats to schools across the UK, Parliament and the Super Bowl.

Andreas Dowling, 23, is accused of making 20 hoax bomb threats throughout England over three weeks in 2016.

The man from Torpoint, Cornwall, also allegedly made 10 threats to schools in the US and Canada between October 10, 2014 and February 1, 2015.

He also targeted American police departments and the Super Bowl XLIX, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

A statement for the cops said: "The investigation was led by officers from Counter Terrorism Policing South West who are satisfied the threats were not an act of terrorism."

Dowling is in custody and is set to appear at Exeter Magistrates’ Court today.

He also faces a charge of encouraging the distribution of an indecent image of a child.
