GLASTONBURY revellers have hit out at the organisers saying they have not provided enough water stations with dozens needing treatment from paramedics as temperatures hit 28C.
Paramedics from South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust said they had treated 70 people suffering from heat-related illnesses over the past two days with most suffering from heat stroke.
One attendee at the Glastonbury festival, which closes on Sunday night, wrote on Twitter: "The queue for water at #Glastonbury2019 is ridiculous. You need to roll out dozens more stations for tomorrow guys. It's just going to get hotter."
The Sun Online has contacted organisers for comment.
Music fans are gearing up for a headlining set from grime artist Stormzy later tonight as well as performances from Lauryn Hill and George Ezra.
Earlier in the day Abba tribute act Bjorn Again thrilled fans at Worthy Farm.
Glastonbury kicks off as huge crowd gathers in blazing sunshine for opening acts
Revellers have had two days to get into the groove before music officially started today on the Somerset farm.
They were kept busy - some were yesterday spotted stripping off to beat the heat - even embracing an impressive makeshift slip and slide to cool off.
A Met Office health advice page warned: "Healthcare services will be working to ensure readiness and swift action to reduce harm from a potential heatwave.
"Heatwaves can be dangerous, especially for the very young or very old or those with chronic disease."
