MULLEN IT OVER

Today’s free horse racing tips: Bangor, Southwell, Lingfield and Newcastle – Steve Mullen’s betting preview for Tuesday, June 4

BANGOR

2.00

DREAM MACHINE was a good second on his hurdles debut at Ffos Las last time out. He looked a tricky ride but kept going and should learn plenty from the experience.

Dounyapour is interesting making his debut for Dr Newland. He won a couple of times on the level in France and clearly has ability. Winding Roe showed promise when third in a Navan bumper in February.

He has since moved to Donald McCain’s yard and should make a nice hurdler.

NIKKI STEEL unseated when going like the winner at Worcester last time out. He is usually a good jumper and looks handicapped to win from 1lb higher in the weights than his most recent victory.

Court Duty enjoyed this trip when second last time and a 4lb rise in the weights looks fair enough. Flemens Story has been knocking on the door with a good second at Hexham last time after a breathing operation.

3.00

WAZOWSKI has been highly consistent including when winning over course and distance with a bit left in the tank last time out. He has gone up 7lb for that but looks capable of taking another step forward.

Kingston ran his best race for a while when midfield at Ludlow last time and is handicapped to go close on anything like his true form. Delface was a solid third in Ffos Las last time and trainer David Pipe is in decent form.

3.30

STEEL WAVE enjoyed running at Bangor last time as he dug deep to win by a neck. He battled on right to the line there and a 3lb rise in the weights looks fair enough.

He shapes as though this longer trip could bring improvement. Deputy Commander came back from a long break to finish third in that race and looks to be crying out for this distance.

Chase The Wind was a good second here last time and stays all day.

4.00

ZAMOYSKI is capable of better than he’s been showing and has dropped to an attractive handicap mark. There were some positive signs at Southwell last time when fifth and he has no problem in seeing out this trip.

4.30

COMPATRIOT took a step forward when third at Market Rasen last time out. He was coming back from eight months off there so should come on fitness wise.

The Character takes a drop down the classes here and has winning form over course and distance, which is clearly an asset. Cape Fair has few miles on the clock and could do better.
