Inside Hollyoaks real-life couple Nadine Mulkerrin and Rory Douglas-Speed’s lockdown lovenest with cosy two person bath
HOLLYOAKS real-life couple Nadine Mulkerrin and Rory Douglas-Speed have been isolating in their stylish Cheshire home with their six-month-old son Reggie for the past six weeks.
The pair - who play Cleo McQuee and Joel Dexter on the Channel 4 soap - have given a sneak peek into what their lavish pad looks like with a series of snaps posted on social media.
Their luxurious home comes with a stylish living loom, trendy bathroom and a utility room to wash their endless supply of babygros in.
Before Reggie's arrival, 28-year-old Rory shared a photograph of their incredible jungle-themed nursery on Instagram.
The white room has a spotty feature wall, pictures of safari animals in frames and has even a giant cuddly giraffe standing on the floor.
Rory admitted: "Honestly love our Nursery! can’t wait for the wee one to live in it and be best pals with Gerry The Giraffe."
The couple, who met on set of the Channel 4 soap, got engaged in December 2018 after dating for just over a year.
Following their engagement, Rory admitted he thought for a moment that the love of his life might actually say no to his proposal.
In an interview with OK! magazine, he said: "It was terrifying. I felt like I was on my knee for an eternity.
"I remember saying: ‘Go on, just say something!'
“I felt that she was always going to say yes because we always have a laugh about it, but in that moment when I was on my knee I thought, she’s saying no!”
The actor asked his girlfriend to marry him just months after their on-screen characters got hitched.
Looking ahead to the wedding, Rory revealed they will be inviting some of their cast-mates.
He said: “Everybody is so friendly and so nice, it would be hundreds and hundreds of people if you really thought about it.
"When you’re talking about going to a wedding, it’s friends for life and we’ve definitely got a few on the show.”
Despite things moving quickly for the pair Nadine is completely sure of her feelings for Rory because he brings out the best in her.
The pretty brunette said: “Rory has made me so much kinder, even my mum and my sisters say it.
“I feel like he makes me the best version of myself.”
Nearly a year after their engagement, the lovebirds welcomed Reggie into the world.
Rory broke the news to fans by sharing a picture of Nadine cradling their son with the caption: “Welcome to the family wee Reggie Speed 15.8.19
“We love You man. So proud of Nadine, I didn’t think I could love her anymore but my heart is bloody bursting! She was amazing throughout her labour. Women are seriously Superhuman x”
Nadine, shared her own picture with her new born and gushed: "Reggie Speed . Your the coolest little dude we never knew we were missing in our lives! We love you so Much.

Last month the couple celebrated their first six months with Reggie in lockdown.
In tribute to the landmark, the Hollyoaks actress shared a number of adorable photos on her Instagram.
Nadine commented: "6. How did that happen?! Thank you for the best 6 months of our lives little man".
